          Student Experience Fees

The College facilitates several non-compulsory student experiences (detailed below) throughout the academic year. To ensure an equitable system in relation to these activities, the College charges these fees separately and payment must be made in accordance with the due dates provided.

          Examples of Non-Compulsory Student Experiences:

          • Excursions
          • Overnight, Interstate, and International Camps
          • Timor-Leste Overseas Camp
          • SEDA Cup
          • Tours
          Uniform Fees

The College and its industry partners maintain a strong position regarding student presentation and professionalism during the program activities. Students represent industry partners throughout their time at the College and it is a requirement that their uniform is kept and worn in a clean and tidy manner. For this reason, uniforms are issued prior to the commencement of the academic year and form part of the resource fee. The resource fee cannot be reduced by removing the allocation of a uniform.

Additional uniforms can be purchased at the end of Term 1 and Term 2. Communication will be sent to caregivers prior to with details on how to place an order.

          Laptop Fees

The College supplies each student with a laptop and charger on a lease basis. The lease fee forms part of the Resource Fee and students are unable to utilise a personal laptop due to security requirements.

Every laptop is covered by warranty and will be repaired by the vendor if parts fail by fault however, fees will be incurred by the student's debtor account holder should repairs or replacement occur outside of warranty. More information is provided to students and debtor account holders during the College's enrolment process.

The laptop and charger will remain the property of the SEDA College NT unless the student has been enrolled at the College for three years and there are no outstanding fees on their account. The laptop can be purchased for the remaining money owed on the lease if a student commences after Term 1 for Year 10.

Failure to return a laptop and/or charger within 14 days of completion or withdrawal will result in charges ranging between $100.00 and $850.00 depending on the model, configuration, and condition of the notebook and charger.

            Withdrawal Fees

The College distributes Tuition and Activity Fees across the academic year to ensure that the cost of services is applied proportionately. A refund of funds paid, or withdrawal charges may apply depending on when a student leaves the College.

Charges also apply for non-returned SEDA College NT property (e.g. laptop, charger, sports equipment etc.).

The College welcomes uniform returns however this is not required because uniform fees are paid by the non-refundable Enrolment Fee Deposit.

            Unpaid Fees and Charges

Where a direct debit payment plan option is selected for fee payments, a $20.00 charge will be incurred by the debtor account holder for each instance where the direct debit payment is declined.

The College reserves the right to collect any expenses from an account holder for use of a debt collection service.

            Fees Payment Options

            Enrolment Fee Deposit Payment

The Enrolment Fee Deposit can be paid in full or by two instalment payments. Where an offer is being accepted after October 2024, alternative due dates will be provided.

Tuition, Activity and Resource Fee Payment

The Tuition, Activity and Resource Fees can be paid by the following methods:

            • Upfront full payment
            • Direct debit payment plan through weekly, fortnightly, or monthly instalments
            Split Fees

The College understands that school fees often are required to be split between two caregivers when they do not reside in the same household. The College offers the option to split fees (50/50) between two debtor account holders.

            Third-Party Student Fees Payment

Most student fees can be paid by a third-party where an agreement is in place, however, caregivers will remain liable to pay fees if the third-party fails to make payments.

^ The fee is the predicted full tuition, resource, and activity fee per student enrolment. This is subject to change and will be confirmed and communicated in September 2024. Further information can be found in our Student Fee Policy.
